It is common knowledge that the older we get, we tend to be more susceptible to illnesses and diseases. Our immune system weakens and as a result, we are more prone to viruses. Elderly people should make an effort to become more conscious of their well-being by exercising proper diet. They should do away with foods that are high in fat and cholesterol. A daily exercise should be undertaken to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Regular consultation to doctors should also be made to ascertain that any disease or illness at its onset could be prevented. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
